I was listening RamsTalk 2021 Episode 7 "LA Rams trader Goff for Stafford" on Stitcher and the guy said something I never considered.
{sic}
"If Stafford is great next year and improves the Rams and Goff does not excel in Detroit we will know this was a smart trade. However, if the Rams do not improve next year and Goff and Stafford have comparable numbers, then we will know that giving up a younger QB and two first round draft choices was the wrong move.
Much more importantly for Les Snead and Sean McVay, we may find out the Goff was NEVER our problem and THE PROBLEM lays somewhere else" -for this Snead and McVay will be held accountable.
However, either way, we all will know for certain where THE PROBLEM was or WASN'T after next season."
At the surface this seems like a captain obvious post......however if you peel back the onion, and considering the fact we have the #1 defense, you begin to see the risk that Snead has opened himself up to. The Podcast also mentioned that Goff had a questionable work ethic and a low football IQ (in so many words).
We're going to have ALL of the answers next season; every single one of them.
