I still wonder if there’s something that can’t be calculated or measured and that is rooting loyalties.

What appears to be a standard of measurement is that when you ge hired, it’s all about business. Wake up, do you job and the results will speak for themselves.

But what if you’re hired by the enemy? This is the gray area that can only be analyzed on the couch of a shrink or at the last judgment.

But look inside for moment. What if anyone of us as childhood Rams’ fans had superlative quarterbacking in talent and got drafted by of all teams, the hated 49ers.

Would we be professional? Would we put our own personal success above that of our beloved Rams?

As sure as type people posture that they’re above all the fanboy stuff and would do what was needed for money, fame and glory.

But is it really so clear?

Would we, each of us, have the same work ethic as a 49er as we would if we were on any other team?

Maybe it’s pointless since I don’t think a clear answer is possible when the only place for an answer is in the deep recesses of the heart.

But I always wondered why Jarod played poorly in these last to games against the Niners.
