Blythe and Allen are just too small. There’s a quickness to strength ratio you need at that position (and of course the smarts) and for the last couple of years the Rams have gone to quickness.

But the reason these guys are quick is because shorter people typically have faster twitch. And these guys are barely over 6 foot.

If the Rams find a guy quick enough who doesn’t get blown up and has the smarts, then the smurf experiment at center will be over.
