That would be more tolerable if the Rams had cap room, but they don't and Havs make a lot for a one dimensional player.

Definitely one of those moves that you know they're probably analyzing right now. But I do think that IF they really think they're close to the Super Bowl they will restructure his cap hit and keep him.
It's not only the easiest decision but it's also going to give you the strongest roster. UNLESS that move is required to bring in a top FA addition. If that's the case and they think one of their guys can hold down RT then yeah I think the team overall will be stronger. Assuming they're right about RT. But also in the event that it's a starter like Edwards who they see making Havs expendable you still have to replace him at LG.
