Actually AD doesn't the diminish the need for edge, it just makes it easier

Any OLB edge rusher that hasn't quite lived up to their billing ought to be standing in line to want to come to the Rams. They don't have to be great; just good. And because of AD they are likely to have a career year..... and then move on to the big bucks they were always aiming for. Matthews was going to have a career year until he got hurt. Fowler, career year. Floyd, career year.

This is why I think there's too much concern over getting an Edge Rusher. I believe it won't be that difficult, and it'll happen in FA or in salary cap cuts and it'll be a good but not great young guy OR more likely a guy with a little left in his tank that wants a chance at some big numbers and a ring to end his career. The Rams have young, but not developed, speed Edge Rushers. They need an instant plug in and that is not going to be a rookie draft pick.

The one place where they could probably get a needed upgrade in the draft, and an immediate starter, is at Center. Some good ones this year and likely 1 of the top 3 (and all those guys are very good) will probably be available at 57.

I think they can get a speed Receiver late in the 3rd or in the 4th. Not an ideal guy, but a 4.3 type, smaller, maybe having been a slot guy in college. But, I also think someone like AJ Green could be had for peanuts. He's openly said that the money is much less important; he wants to win some games to end his career. He is still a legitimate deep threat, 50-50 ball winner, and Red Zone guy. He can't hold up if he has to play very much, but I suspect they would probably only use him maybe in 30 +% of the snaps.

Along with everyone else, I agree that no doubt Marvin Jones would be the best get. But.... he's just going to cost too much and the Rams aren't going to spend very much on that position because they already have 3 guys they believe in. Jones can probably get in the $8 mil range on the open market and I'm not even sure the Rams could pay half that. Players just don't give up that kind of cash. And they shouldn't.
