People will probably think I'm crazy but I want Floyd brought back plus an OLB and ILB. I realize that won't happen but this defense needs to be more stout in contain and stuffing the run to be playoff ready.

I agree on Floyd brought back but if they do I don't feel edge will be a priority anymore. The Rams, under Snead/McVay don't have a history of drafting a position with a premium pick and then doubling down on that position the next draft. Usually they give the previously drafted player at least two years. Last year they drafted Lewis with a 3rd. Don't see them using a high pick again this year.

ILB is another matter. But I'm skeptical there too because when has Snead drafted an ILB with anything higher than a 5th?

Rams drafted RB’s in back to back years with premium picks.

Signed Woods and then used a premium pick on Kupp in ‘17.

Of course, those were all ‘need’ moves. Then again, I think that we ‘need’ 2 Edge players.

I expected someone to bring up RB. But in reviewing all of their draft picks, that's the only position I've ever seen them double down in the next draft.

Woods and Kupp don't fit the scenario IMO because teams need multiple starting WRs and those guys play different positions.

Also, the RB thing can be explained. I have to admit that I was wrong about their intentions with Henderson. I originally argued that they saw him as a bell cow and a future Gurley replacement when they drafted him. I was told by many that he was intended to be a change of pace back.

Looking back, it's clear to me now that he was only intended as a change of pace. So the drafting of Akers is not a doubling down at the same position.
