Looks like Stafford was ok with going to Indy, SF, Wash, and of course LA.
I think Chris Simms said Stafford said no to NE, Denver, and Carolina.
Appears that Detroit honored Stafford's request of no on Carolina since they came in with a strong offer, viewed by many as stronger than the Rams.
The most vocal news on Stafford's nixed teams was about the Pats. And Teddy Bruschi slamming Stafford as not being tough enough to play in NE. I've read that the Pats were all in on getting Stafford, and were very high on him. Michael Lombardi said the Pats were the front runners to get Stafford, and he was raving about how great Stafford is right before the trade. Seems obvious that Lombardi got this from his connections in NE where he worked for Belichick. Of course, now Lombardi doesn't think so highly of Stafford now since he's a Rams.
My takeaway is that the Rams gave the Lions a good enough deal that they could walk away from a bit more competitive offer by Carolina and honor Stafford's request. Rams offer must have been at least as good as Indy's or maybe better since he was fine with going to Indy.
