I don’t think it’s in anyone’s Long Term best interests to have a drastically reduced cap in one year without warning that teams could prepare for in advance. Emphasis long term.

OTOH, I think it’s in everybody’s long term best interests to soften the blow by phasing in the cap impact over 4-5 years.

This Covid thing is like a national disaster in that there are tremendous financial impacts and yet it’s nobody’s fault.

Hope both sides come to their senses. Hasn’t everybody already suffered enough?
