Cause outside of those 2 games, Goff in 2020 when it comes to turnovers was no different than Manning in his 5th year.

Counting the playoffs, Peyton had 5 games under a 70 qb rating in 2002, his 5th year. In those 5 games he had 4 TDs, 12 INTs, and 2 fumbles w/ one lost for 13 TOs. In his other 12 games he had 7 INTs and 4 fumbles with 1 lost for 8 TOs, which comes out to 0.666 a game.

In Goff's non-TO spurt games, he had 10 TOs in 15 games, which comes out to ... 0.6666 a game.

Manning got better after his 5th year when it comes to TOs. As shown in this thread, so did Stafford. Means it can happen. And you don't have to be Manning or Stafford for it to happen. Nothing says it can't happen with Goff.

But that's just what the math says when it comes to an objective analysis. In a lot of ways it's a moot point...Goff is a Lion. And Stafford was a good acquisition, so that side of the whole thing is just fine.
