I think the fumbles are a forever issue due to his hands. He's gotten a little better at two handing the ball while maneuvering. A better line will also help with that.
In regards to the Interceptions, he has always had a bad game every single year going back to Cal where he has 3-4 interceptions in a single game. He is also good for 3-4 WTF throws a season that result in picks.
Aside from that I think he is pretty accurate and doesn't put the ball in harms way all that often.
They came in spurts. That leads to a mis-impression. He had 7 TOs in 2 games, Miami and the 2nd SF game, and then after that he had 3 TOs in 6 games, including the playoffs. And in the playoffs Green Bay did one of those numbers on the Rams OL that happened 4-5 times during the season and Goff was under heavy pressure, but no TO.
...
Spurts or not bro..
He had his moments when he protected the football.
You mentioned his 7 TOs in 2 games vs Miami and SF as if they were flukes. His turnover issues from his days at Cal carried over to the NFL.
Bottom line.. At the professional level he had 62 turnovers since 2017 and they are the second most behind only Jameis Winston. The Seattle & Green Bay playoff games in 2021 don't give him a free pass.
You used to give Jeff Fisher a free pass and he will never be a head coach again.
When will you see the light my Rams brother?
Goff got traded for all the right reasons. I wish him the best but McVay and company did the right thing.
