The last QB before Stafford to lead the Lions to the playoffs three times was Bobby Layne, who did it four times: 1952, 1953,1954, and 1957.
The Lions as a team have won *one* playoff game since they won the NFL title in 1957.
Personally I think the quote says way more about the Lions than it does about Stafford.
