I don't think Todd absolutely loves football. He quit football in high school and was basically begged by coaches to come back. He eventually did and was just a natural runner......but I have a suspicion he has never been in love with the game.
He openly admits he really loves basketball. He also has fashion and style interests. I always figured that it was that stuff......and a bad knee....that got him run.
But McVay and Snead didn't exactly handle that well either.
