And one I have thought about as well. Unfortunately I dont have a great answer. The only thing I can think of is that goff pissed mcvay off for some reason. After reading all these articles I have a growing sense that mcvay felt betrayed by goff in that he did not progress in the way mcvay wanted. Instead mcvay felt shackled and frustrated. Now the question is why did goff not progress. Is he incapable? Did he not put in the work? Does he just need more time? A better line? I don't know. But whichever you believe probably influences how you feel about the situation.
