It doesn't seem that people are overlooking this to me. I feel there is a general awareness that they will have to restructure some contracts. But Demoff has been good at this stuff. The Rams always seem to get done what they need to get done.
As for depth, we were already the youngest team in 2020. And that's likely to continue in 2021. I see the depth going forward being at the same level as it is now.
Their model is to have a handful of super good/elite players surrounded by youth. It's gotten them to the playoffs 3 of 4 years under McVay and to the SB once. So it's been working.
But there is a gambling aspect to it. In poker it's called 'all in.' You can win big but if you don't have the strongest hand, you lose big.
