Teams put players on the spot all the time. You think Rogers felt loved by the packers when they drafted another QB and passed on wr's? I think he handled the 'distraction' pretty well. You assume that these are high school kids who will pout when things don't go their way. This is a business and whether you start or get paid is tied to performance. That's it. McVay and Snead are stirring the pot, for sure. Who knows what they're trying to achieve. Since none of us in at Rams park none of us can say for sure what's going to happen. Maybe they do let Wolford compete. Maybe they run some Hill type change ups with Wolford or Perkins. At this point - it might be better for the cap to have Goff as a back-up than to trade him and pay a vet back up. Maybe they draft a QB they really like. Goff will do what they say and cash his check and maybe next year they move him. Or not. Again - until we have a confirmed trade, all of this is just fun 'what ifs'
