After McVay gave his season ending speech.
After Snead backed up McVay with his season ending interview, I can't fathom how any fans on this board thinks Goff might be on this team next season.
The reality is, McVay and Snead agreed that Goff is not going to be on the team next season. It's not a light a fire under your QB1 theory.
Do you really think that if they don't trade or release Goff there won't be a gigantic media distraction with questions to Goff and McVay before every game and especially after every game Goff doesn't deliver?
After the McVay and Snead recent comments, there will be so many negative distractions if they keep Goff on board it will be the theme of 2021 season. This marriage has ended and there is no saving it.
The media will eat this team up even if Goff says the right things during minicamps and preseason.
This ship has sailed and there is no way the Rams brass can save themselves by keeping Jared on the team hoping they lit a fire under his ass.
This is checkmate and Goff will now be more of a distraction and detriment to the team if he's on the final 53 in 2021. The first game he's the reason they lose because of turnovers or what the reason, the media will chomp at the bit.
