...McVay and Snead feel the Rams have won despite Goff's limitations in their eyes.
They think with better QB play, they would have been better and Goff is holding the offense back. Something happened over the course of the year and specifically late in the regular season. Let's be honest, Goff seems to have been benched vs. SEA in the Wild Card game. He had to go and could play. The thumb is a big issue, but he was able to play.
It appears they have seen enough and are ready to move on.
I do not know if this is it, nor is it the right move, nor do we know something is cooking for 2021 QB-wise, but they feel they have been 43-21 in spite of Goff's drop off in 2019 and 2020....and three playoff appearances as proof of McVay's success even with a new cast of coaches over four years....
Kinda like Bellicheck has seen assistance and front office types leave and he has still won. I am not comparing McVay to Bellicheck, but I mean he is the conductor on the train...
