You have a 37 year old hall of fame QB with a small window for a championship and rather than bring in someone (WR) who can help push them over the top in the next year or 2 they draft a developmental QB. Kind of like the Eagles draft this year with Wentz still there and all the holes they have.
Not sure who's running the show in GB but that's a huge slap in the face to the team's best player for the past decade.
