FWIW: Matthew Stafford will almost certainly restructure his contract wherever he lands, but before that, his new team will need to have $20M of cap space available in order to process the trade. This will limit his options slightly in a cap down year.
Here's an idea of what the Rams would have to do to free up $20M:
Trade Goff
Restructure Donald, Ramsey, Cupp, and Woods - putting max money on each of those contracts into future years.
Trade Havenstein
Let every unrestricted free agent and restricted free-agent walk but Darious Williams - assuming they tender him at a 1st round tender.
Sign no new free agents
Don't see all of that happening.
