The rule down there should be the same as the rule anywhere else on the field. If there is no clear recovery and the ball goes out of bounds midfield, where do they place it? Just do the same in the end zone. TERRIBLE RULE. And yes it has bit the Rams in the butt at least once when Gurley stretched for the TD, which is where I first learned it existed.
It just makes no damned sense.
