Will the league finally fix the stupid fumble out of the end zone rule???

They were talking about it today on GMFB because of what happened to the Browns
I personally hate the rule....makes zero sense that a team should get such severe penalty for fumbling a ball that goes out of bounds....if it happened anywhere else on the filed it isn't a turnover so why is it near the end zone?
I think an easy solution would be to just simply place the ball on the five and loss of down....so if it was 2nd down when it happened it is placed on the 5 and is now 3rd down.
Rams have lost a couple games due to that dumb rule and both of them were to Seattle
