I look back at the 1985 Bears. If Singletary or Dent go down to 50% ability, I do not see the Rams and Dickerson suddenly putting up 30+ on them in the Title game. It would not have suddenly made Duerson or Fencik crappy tacklers. Last night's effort was VERY disappointing. And was very close to being much worse. AD even being OUT the entire game was ZERO excuse for some of the crap that happened. Rodgers or no Rodgers.
I agree. This has been my primary concern about the Rams defense for a while now; it's too dependent on the effect of one player. AD is 30 now, so it might be time to seriously reinvest at the DL position as opposed to only looking at it from a 'one-year-rental' perspective.
