To be a contrarian, one could say the #1 offense is totally dependent on Aaron Rodgers. Elite generational talents take the great to the otherworldly. You can't have an all pro at every spot. I think back on the Bucs cover 2 defense. It was Sapp, Brooks, Lynch and Barber, and then added Rice. The rest were role players that fit the system. An elite player on every level is optimal. We need an elite linebacker between AD and JR, to pair with Floyd who would be our Simeon Rice. That being said if a foundational piece is lost you can cover for it at first (& we did against the Seahags) but eventually the loss will be felt. Foundational pillars are pillars for a reason.
