and for a few reasons. He's regressed. And not JUST that, I think he's regressed with some of the best coaches available trying to make that NOT happen.. that counts for something to me.

I don't want to get into this next one because it's a never-ending debate... I think he is not good in his decision making, and not about to be any better at it. I do NOT think he is horrible... just less than needed. I think he's been coddled, (in the sense that the entire game plan has been tweaked to make it easy for him.. which does NOT mean 'simplistic', and he can't get quite get it), and has failed to catch on, in his 5th year.

I see him as 'arm', (no problem with him there, AT ALL), and little else that's needed for playoff or SB capability. I also think that puts him pretty darned far AHEAD of many of the starting QB's in the league today.. hence he's not easy to replace. I think Goff can win a lot of games for us... I think when faced with the best he has very few of the traits needed to consistently compete... he CAN shine in any one game, however, of that I have no doubt. - JamesJM
