IMO, the team rallied around him for gutting it out against Seattle and now Goff is going to have make some plays and more importantly not turn the ball over because if that can happened the Rams with this defense can win as long as Akers can stay healthy and be effective. Now if Goff rejuvenated with the thought of being benched is able to play well and lead the Rams to victory I believe this will propel him next season regardless of next week, however, if Goff does not play well, regardless of having an injury excuse I believe the Rams will be looking for someone else come next year.
