Warner didn't wear the gloves at the start of '05 and eventually got benched for continuing fumbling issues. He had lost his job and looked to be done. But, by game 15, he was given another chance due to injury and he came into the SF game in relief and looked like his old self. Mainly because he had donned the gloves and wasn't a fumbling wreck anymore. Now, I'm not sure just how much Warner got to practice with those glove but he was not the starter for 10+ weeks so he likely wasn't getting any first team reps during that time. My point being, between actual starts he was able to get comfortable with them. Which, Goff should be able to do.
Wouldn't it be a miracle if Goff's grip has been causing him all of these problems? That the gloves give him his confidence back somehow just like they did with Warner. That would be awesome. It'd be like getting a whole new QB if Goff bucked his funk.
The Glove made the difference for Warner. Does anyone know Goff's stats from that Bronco game he wore the glove. I believe it was 2018 (the game we lost Kupp to knee injury). I believe we ran all over the Broncos that game. I would like to know how Goff performed using the glove.
