I had been a Ram fan for a decade when this game took place. One long decade of losing. Then came this game.

Yes, the SB victory was bigger... some others in that "BIG" category as well... but I'm not sure there was ever a more meaningful game for me. This game turned it ALL around.. I had never seen a winning Ram's team to that point. And to do it against GB... THE powerhouse of football?

I can remember, vividly, the entire week leading up to that game. For one thing, I "believed". I had TOLD myself I believed many times before this game... and perhaps I really did... but in THIS game... I KNEW they were the better team.

Yes, you're ahead of me... two games later the Ram's lost to GB... but that didn't change things... the Rams, to me, and I think everyone, were no longer patsy's.

This game coming up is big.. big to you, I think bigger to me... and those who lived that Dec. 9th game in '67. This game defines football. It is the past and present combined. - JamesJM
