Fair take. I think the hospital thing was precautionary but I do understand your point. The first time they run him up the middle he gets creamed — and I’m not completely sold on his arm.
I think McVay has settled on the fact that the formula to get through this gauntlet is zero turnovers running the ball and taking shots.
For godsakes he’s referred to Wolf as Doug Flutie at least three separate times that I’ve noticed. When you say you need to win a playoff game when you’re number one quarterback is hurt then who is better than Doug Flutie.
I agree with you that Goff is one tough dude. I mean but for a coaches decision, he would not have missed a play when he pulled his own thumb into socket after having a dislocated on the field. That’s Jack Youngblood tough.
I really like your notion that the playoffs were going to be Goffs redemption tour.
Who knows, it may yet play out. I know I speak for you and all true fans that we wouldn’t care if Brice Perkins was playing quarterback or if they dusted off TJ Rubely — we want to be one step away from the Super Bowl and that means getting by Green Bay this weekend.
Make it happen coach.
Ps- If anybody doubts that there is coach speak take a look at when Coach was asked if he was going to dress Blake Sunday. He made it sound like that might not happen. Yeah right. Bortles will be up at QB three. That’s the one sure thing about this weekend.
