If this is a Goff vs Wolford thing you'll like this part... because I also think Goff has done things 'in the past' to make him the guy... and that's no small thing. He has experience, as you state, and not 'just' experience but 'successful' experience... that's VERY key.

But my issue is, as you have no doubt guessed, this isn't "Goff of the past"... some of that the 'thumb', or at least I believe so... but also... he's in a bad slump. No way is this the Goff that took us to the SB... even though he didn't quite, the running game did at crunch time, but he did help, a lot.

It's nothing to do with 'liking Wolford or Goff".. it's to do with liking the Rams. I think Goff DID do things to at least consider he is not the guy... in that it was what he did NOT do. I think he has a very good excuse, actually.. but that doesn't matter.. it's playoffs time. Thumb or not... he's not on his game. And GOOD LORD that doesn't mean I think Wolford is... I have no idea what this guy is other than the 'energy' and 'running ability' which is GREAT but NO, I don't think that alone is enough....

Now NONE of that makes me think you're opinion "wrong"... I don't know.. I just think the evidence indicates Wolford, you think Goff... and we both think.. whomever just win. laughing smiley

At least if I am the HC.
I like The Wolfman a lot but Goff has proven in the past that he can win playoff games. On the road. Under the pressure of having to lead your team on scoring drive.
Yesterday he did nothing to lose his job.

Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Goff's "slump" is overrated as he played very well in all of our wins and even in a loss to Buffalo, he had four bad outings and three of them were to top 5 defenses...(SF x2 Mia) and Seattle was the number one defense in the NFL the last six weeks of the season

Obviously his thumb was effecting him yesterday, how the hell could it not? He constantly had that thing in the hand warmer for a reason.... I had no issues with McVay going with Wolf even though Goff said he was fine, I think he realized Goff is gonna say what ever he has to to get out there and play and sided on caution and went with Wolf knowing our defense would give us a chance....crazy thing is, Goff went almost 5 full years without injury.....Wolford lasted almost 5 full quarters before he was injured....let that sink in

What Goff did yesterday (and for what he has done in the past) deserves much more respect than he is getting from the usual suspects .....but it isn't surprising

I think Jim's tweet says it all
