What is fun to me about playoff games like that is you can enjoy it more as the underdog vs the stress of HAVING to come through as the clear favorite. Think 1983 at Dallas or 2004 at Seattle. Not that the Rams were massive underdogs, but they WERE underdogs.
To have to start a young, backup QB and then LOSE that QB early on and have to go back to your injured starter that got only a small fraction of practice reps during the week and be able to do enough- largely also thanks to a rookie RB- is really just a great story.
And then to lose your All-World DT and have other young DL like Fox, SJD, GAINES etc keep the pressure up and have the defense make plays all day was just tremendously impressive.
Special teams once again made things harder than they should have been. The KOR coming out of halftime (led to a FG) and Hekkers poor outing. Thankful we found Gay at kicker...
Proud to see this team having made the final 8 after some ups and downs this year. Yesterday was the very definition of team effort. Like someone else said I really hope they play next Sunday. The extra day to heal and rest would really help those like Goff, Kupp, Donald, Whitworth, Akers, etc. especially vs a team coming off a Bye week. I certainly dont expect to win in Green Bay but I dont dismiss the possibility at all. The hill gets a lot more steep now.
