Agree. He showed some very positive signs and I think the Rams can feel good should he need to start again this week- especially with Whitworth and Kupp coming back. But regardless of anyones thoughts about Goff there is just no way to discern much more about Wolford yet. He was poised, made some very good plays and won the game. But he did not throw for 350 yards and 4 TDs.
Im glad they have Wolford for 2021. He can be a steady QB2 and he costs them all of $855k next year. That helps since the Rams cap situation does not give them the luxury to consider a more well known veteran backup.
Can Wolford become more? Sure, maybe. A full year of OTAs, camp and preseason work would certainly help. And maybe he can be a spark behind Goff to help drive him forward as well.
