About today's players. Every damned starting WR "opted out' a.k.a. BAILED on my Gators! Starting to see more n more such actions. You hear the LAME excuse about getting injured in a Bowl Game. Well, any of them could have been injured in Spring Practice or a game back in September. We see NFL players pulling the same crap. I'm sure I will catch flak but IMO....It's selfish as hell. Injuries are PART of football It's a TEAM game and to think you are more important than the 3rd team guy because you are probably NFL bound as an NCAA player or due for that big contract as a NFL player, is chicken $h!+ B.S.!

Just one more reason why I miss OLD SCHOOL days....When players were THRILLED to be at a Bowl game and the quality of play showed. Hell, there used to be pride in the NFL Pro Bowl. People talk about Youngblood playing in the playoffs with a broken leg. The REAL heart was him playing the Pro Bowl after a heart breaking Super Bowl loss.

And the fans.... I think about the Gator fans who paid $$$$$$ to travel to the Cotton Bowl after probably dishing out $$$$$$$ for Seasons Tickets. A LOT of the travelers are Bull Gator Boosters. They pay a LOT of $$$$$$$$$$$$ to the University. Between they and other schools fans, we are gonna see backlash after $$$$ is spent, trips are made and THEN you find out Joe Blow WR and half the starting O is NOW afraid of injury???

Call it today's game and the way it is if you want. I will call it BULL $H!+!

Sorry man, but it's not selfish for people to do what's in the best interest of their financial future. We've got to remember that for those who are NFL bound, it's their livelihood.

It's a job!

Do you or I make decisions in our best financial interest pertaining to our jobs? Absolutely!

And I don't think it's fair to call that selfish. In fact, I'd be tempted to call selfish anyone who wanted me to take food off the table for my kids for their amusement.
