Never did I think that I'd be encouraging you!. You know it's a cold day in hell when I, a pessimist, am encouraging our board's leading optimist.
Things to be optimistic about:
- 4 straight winning seasons! How long has it been since we could have said that?
- Aaron Donald!
- A great defense, cut Staley some slack.
- Maybe we make the playoffs!
- McVay is what his record says he is, no excuses, no exculpatory reasons, just his w/l record. His record ranks near the top of all Head coaches for the last 4 years.
We have a good org, with a good team, and a good coach. Don't forget how good you got it. We ain't Detroit, (near where I live). The complaining on this board is peanuts compared to what the local press and fans say about the Lions.
Cheer up my friend, feel my positive vibes, we're going to be okay.
There are things to be positive about.
* Goff has had bad games before in his career, he bounces back. My bet is that he does again.
* The OL was solid except for 2 games and they can build from that.
* they have solid receivers and backs, they just need to be healthy and to build from that.
* recent Rams drafts have been excellent, that should continue.
* yeah this young team and young coach had some mis-steps this year which would concern me if it were a more veteran team but it's not
* a defense featuring Donald and Ramsey will always be good, they just have to add decent pieces to it as they go
