weighed in the combine as the 8th heaviest RB, and of the 7 heavier, 3 didn't get drafted.
So I don't buy the Akers is a small NFL RB.
NFL leading rushers:
Henry - 250
Cook - 210
Robinson - 219
Jones - 208
Montgomery - 222
Jacobs - 220
Chubb - 227
Eliot - 228
Kamara - 215
Drake - 211
So of the top 10, 4 are smaller, 2 are within 3 lbs, 1 within 5 lbs and 3 are heavier. So your idea of smaller is kind of a myth.
And McCaffrey - a whooping 205, and Barkley -232 (top 5 RBs) both injured, one much heavier than Akers, 1 much smaller. So injuries and weight have zero correlation with each other.
And remind me again why the Rams jettisoned a 224 LB Todd Gurley?
