I never really thought Goff was forced to operate of a dirty pocket. I thought he was holding the ball too long.
The numbers were from espn stats. The numbers were no surprise to me. It's also why Goff left the pocket to run so many times (7, something he did only 1 other time this season, his avg. runs in the other 13 games averages out to less that 3 a game).
The Rams don't run a lot of long routes so Seattle just sat on the short routes and bet the pass rush would beat the DL and make it so they would never have to pay for that strategy.
Seattle beat the OL in other ways too, including the goal line stand. Of course they beat the TEs and WRs too when it comes to that, meaning as blockers. The Jets did the same thing. They just won the war in the trenches and that was true all game.
Not sure why espn would just make up a stat like that but either way as I said it corresponded to what I was seeing
during the game.
