I think the articles are certainly biased while statistically accurate. Back to my question. If Goff is regressing the question is why and for as intelligent as the Goff critics are in articulating and pointing out the obvious when it comes to a hidsight result, I hear and read so little about the garbage we have seen on the field around him.
I admit you have asked why more recently and you suggested that there are some issues. My point in my question is that aren;t you a bit depressed that a QB change like this week is no more promising and could be miserable if we keep playing the way we have offensively?
Goff certainly stands out poorly at times on his own and has several instances where he chases down criticism by his decisions or lack there of. I am convinced there is a better QB in him than we are getting as of late and I am sure that his affected play as of late shows that he has stopped playing within himself and should be a coaching concern and focus as they also should be looking to bring in a more versatile talent that can improvise more naturally.
Your question of Goff's instincts have come very much into play and his anticipation has demisnished this season. Now the offense really seems to lack fluidity and Goff may have bought into the system but it does not look like he feels comfortable. Sorta like showing a kid a card trick. Here is how you do it and they focus like crazy to imitate but they have no clue why it works some times and not others. Like our running game. Like our pass protection. Like our WRs Like our play calling. Like Like. All too familiar.
I am still hopefull we can become a better team with or without Goff but preferred we could do it with Goff becuase of his past success. Heck I do not believe in our offense and several of its components and worried about McVay's mindset in games and in prep for defenses. I am betting that we will address what many have called my excuses in addtion to trying to fix or influence Goff this offseason. I am betting the organization is as sick to the stumach as you and I when they look at where this team is and what the future could look like if we do not find a cure to our ills quickly.
