Goff was able to thrive for a few years in McVay's smoke-and-mirrors offense while it still had sufficient talent and novelty to win games. Unfortunately, it has all come crashing down, and there is no remedy other than for the Rams to move on. Hopefully, this won't be a long and miserable process. The Rams have been through two such episodes that spanned about a decade during the past 30 years. I have a feeling that, after making massive investments in the Rams, the owner won't stand for long-term mediocrity.
