I knew this defense would be good (linebackers worried me), but I didn't expect number one, or even top 3. Not even close.
I didn't watch Ramsey much at Jacksonville, but I see why everyone was raving about him. He is cocky like Peters, but way more football smarts, way better in man coverage, and lays a wallop. And more versatile. Oh, and he's not scared to take on a RB. Love it!
AD is, of course, AD. Nothing to see here. In a good way.
You can tell this defense believes in themselves, each other, their identity, and Staley. They aren't a bunch of star players, sans Ramsey and Donald, but they are having fun and playing for each other. They communicate so well, and I think that stems from the great relationships they have with each other.
Hopefully Staley stays around at least one more year. Maybe he can develop a protégé in the meantime?
