I agree with you.
But I try to give young people the benefit of the doubt. What do they say? "Youthful indiscretion."
Not that I'd know anything about that stuff.....
At least when I got arrested, I cooperated and they let me go because I was the most polite and cooperative individual they've arrested. What a compliment? I'm in such esteemed company! This wasn't recently btw lol. I think it was my first year of college.
My point is he's only 25, so I'll cut him a little slack. But I agree, he has to stop all the capers and childish nonsense. Some young men grow out of it faster than others. I mean, I try my damndest to corrupt my nephews, but their parents do too good of a job. I think I've got a good chance with the youngest one, though!
I was/am concerned about the locker room in Cleveland with all the high-maintenance personalities. We've seen this horror story from similar teams. Winning will silence a lot of complaining and misbehavior, usually. I don't really follow the Browns, so I'm not a good source on what the camaraderie is like there.
But being an oSu grad, I've never cared for Baker Mayfield, and it was by far because he was a pr!ck, more-so than the university he attended. But look at Phillip Rivers. Guy isn't exactly the family pastor, but he's fiery and he's been a really, really successful NFL quarterback.
Somebody like Kyler Murray is a different story. He's the type of leader I prefer in a QB and just as a player and person. You can see he's super competitive and really, really wants to win, but he doesn't let his emotions get the best of him, or at least he's not so emotive like Rivers or Mayfield. He's got quiet confidence.
It was really hard to root against Kyler Murray. And it is still, now that he's a Card. What is it with other teams in our division getting QBs that are hard to root against? (Wilson and Murray).
