This is a #1 drafted QB pre-designated to be a franchise QB... you sit this guy and heads roll, in reputation if nothing else... and that includes McVay even though he did not draft him.
I will agree with you on this, however: Many, and I believe most, would say it would destroy him mentally... BS I say. Further, I don't think there is evidence ONE to support that. Could it happen? Of course it could.... inevitable? nonsense, IMHO.
You can't just say it's no big deal...(not saying you are saying that by the way)... it's huge deal, enormous, which like it or not WILL have ramification and those mostly likely detrimental...not necessarily detrimental, but highly likely.
