great post Cromwell.
I'm not one to complain too much about the Goff/McVay era. Hoping one day Goff will improve his pocket presence and reduce his turnovers. He may not be HOF material at this point, he is not a journeyman QB either.
The last time the Rams had a winning season pre -Goff was 2003 (17 years ago) , 2004 made the playoffs with an 8-8 record. Bulger was the QB for both years.
Many Rams fans had a lot of animosity towards Bulger, because of Martz choosing him over Warner. I can see that, Warner guided the Rams to the only SB win.
What I don't get is why so many fans are so down on Goff (unless there are a lot of closest Case Keenam fans).
If things continue to progress this year Goff/McVay will have 4 winning seasons and have a 75% success rate of making the playoffs. last year the Rams finished 9-7 and missed out on a wildcard spot by 1 game.
All that being said, I still prefer debating the Goff's ability to bring the Rams another SB victory and the Rams jockeying for a top seed in the playoffs over discussing the draft in November.
