While I recognize that the loss of Whit is huge, I think the drop off the Noteboom will be less that it would be if the Rams had to play Wolford, Fox, or Long instead of Goff, Donald, or Ramsey.

Keep in mind that Boom was specifically drafted as the heir apparent to Whit and if the plan came to fruition he would have been the starting LT this season.
