I mean seriously there is so much out there
Notice that people keep saying 5th year QB
That game he had on Sunday was far worst than either the SB and 2018 Bears game
If he pulls that S again ... he should be benched
I haven't seen Simms yet. But a fuller, more complete picture of what Warner and Waldman are saying? They don't act like it was all entirely the qb. In fact we better hope the coach and the team don't take it that way because moving on from that performance is a group effort.
And you can add Hammond and Rodrigue to that.
If you want to make Miami entirely about the qb that's up to you, but...that's not the whole story.
BTW while we're al it which active qb did not have a bad game in his 5th year? I haven't looked at them all but let's not pretend that's rare.
....
The issue here is could good QB play have won in Miami even with the defense they were running and the play calling that McVay was making.
The answer is clearly yes. So yeah, don't blame Goff for all of it, but he was a major contributor to the loss because his weakness in dealing with pressure is worse than a good QBs.
We just can't say we can live with that weakness to that level and still win a SB. The odds are far against it.
The bottom line is Goff must improve dealing with pressure, and there is reason to believe that after 5 years that it will remain a fatal flaw in his game.
