Really interesting watch.
What I take from it:
1) JG was bad, KW lays it as simple as it can be. How can a 5th year $100m QB be so bad and locked into a pre snap read that just ignores what he can see in front of him?
There were some nice plays to be had, IF JG just understood the concept, which defender will be coming free and had a mental clock running!
Really really poor play and situational understanding by JG. Looked like a wide eyed rookie, who doesn't even know after attending a great university where the sun rises and sets!!!!
2) SM did some nice schemes and then there were some adaptations that could have made a difference. Like motioning the TE and then leaving him in to block and negating the rush zero.
But mostly SM, failed on two basic coaching points. Running the dam ball was working...... why stop doing it until it doesn't?
And secondly, if you $100m QB is having a stinker, settle him down with more running plays, quicker play management highlighting him to the simple read.
3) OL seemed to have some brain farts, or the RB screwed up, because multiple times the line didn't all slide down leaving a runner free up the middle. Whits appears to not slide on one play and that lead to an INT.
This has all been said all week, but it still blows me away how poor that game was from an Offensive and coaching point.
