It's not all doom and gloom. Goff was not managing the team when we went to a superbowl. His games against the Vikes and Cheifs affirm his real skill and talent. We have changed the offense and it is not seemless. We saw vs Buffalo that Goff can be a weapon but perhaps McVay is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole here. McVay will need to fix that. Goff has won a number of games that wer enot slam dunks and mere game managers cannot do that. Regardless how anyone wants to classify Goff he is a valuable talaent that is under performing in our present offense and it may be as simple as comfort level based on game prep and imphasis. That is a Coach Player communication thing and we will see after the bye if it is reconcilable.

I don't factor that into my thoughts on this. A very good, young, game manager who doesn't miss games is a valuable asset to have.
I don't think you pay top money to game managers that is my opinion and we kind of leveraged the house with that contract and the trade Fisher made. Everything has been downhill since that contract and now we are struggling to gain traction in our division with a window closing in on us. We have a really good team of players and we are in third place in our division after starting 4-1 and now sitting at 5-3. Our d was lights out yesterday and running game was humming and our top contract was absolute garbage. We could have just punted all our posseions and still won that game.
