To bash Goff you have to ignore the scheme, the play calling, the O line, the untouched pass rush that no QB ever could escape from their blind side with.
You have to ignore the second half, you have to ignore the dropped passes.
Did he have some errant throws? yes, but not as many as last week.
Could he have changed the play at the line to provide more protection or have a route change from a deep out to a quick slant?
If you do not have the personnel in for max coverage you cannot change that on the line. I do not know if you can change a route that dramatically or not, but guessing that is more on McVay than Goff.
If you are mad at Goff, are you mad at McVay? Do you think our offensive line needs to go or our coach?
If it is only on Goff how do you explain the second half? Do you ignore the 35 completions and the ability to keep fighting after getting so beat up in the first half?
We have gone to a SB with Goff, we have had comebacks against good teams with Goff, and we have seen Goff throw every throw accurately and make good calls. We have seen Goff grow in his ability to adjust to the defense and yes he has still has room for improvement, but he is better than many in the league.
