We were fortunate that he was out there. Of course some will say naturally why was he still out there lol ! Hopefully it turns out well for our Rams. I would rather have a Vet Kicker on a Contender (our Rams) that has been there before then a wide eyed rookie kicking on a potential Playoff run. I remember Rams HOF HC George Allen saying something like Im not going to lose at the expense of a rookie I can always trade back for him as he get experience a few yrs later lol ! But old George took Veteran to a whole new level average Roster age was like 34 yrs old lol ! Just kidding Im not sure but, he rarely played Rookies and made some folks mad by always trading Draft picks for proven Vets. He never had a losing season though.He was the DC on the 1963 NFL World Champ Bears a Excellent Defensive Team. He took a 4-10 Rams Team Coached by Harland Svare in 1965 to 8-6 in 1966. Then to 11-1-2 in 1967 and the Coastal Div Champ. That 1967 Rams Team was Awesome. Some said that it was George prefering those proven Vets was maybe the reason they had a hard time getting over the hump, as maybe they tired out by the end of the yr. Anyhow ended up talking old Rams lol !
