Fair enough. Now tell us how you feel about the not one (1), not two (2), but three (3) disastrous interceptions that Russell Wilson that WERE bad decisions, the WERE at terrible times, and DID change the complexion of the Cardinals-Seahawks Sunday Night Game?

Please be completely honest even if you feel the urge to try and explain it away.

Russell Wilson is a great QB and the leader of a longtime divisional rival. Otherwise, I don't care about Russell Wilson either.

Some guys have nothing left to prove. Russell Wilson. Tom Brady. Aaron Donald. Johnny Hekker.

Jared Goff has more to prove. Mind you, he has something different to prove to me than he does to a few others on this board.

I'm not interested in the conversation about whether Goff is a bad or even average QB. To my thinking and observation, he's right about what his QB ranking this year suggests - at the bottom of the top-3rd, maybe just outside the top-10. But, see, I think his ceiling is top-5, as good as or better than anyone close to his age this side of Mahomes. The conversation happening n my head is whether he's making strides toward being THAT guy, the top-5 guy.

Russell Wilson has long since earned the right to make some very occasional terrible, game-losing plays given the many more incredible, game-winning plays he's made for a long time. He's earned the right NOT to have his status as an elite QB questioned because of Sunday. JG hasn't earned that right. Wilson is a top-5 guy, easy. Jared isn't. I'm looking for the signs that he's getting there.
