I know who he is and so have accepted it. When he plays well I say so. When he doesn’t I say so. When he throws a killer pass I say so. When he throws a terrible 50 yard pass I say so and don’t try and claim he threw a 50 yard jump ball
Can he get hot like Flacco or Foles and lead the Rams to the a SB <shrug>. We will see I would love to see it
I see the big picture perfectly fine. Tannehill played in a crap offense and got into the McVay offense in tennessee and now flourishes. Goff is in year 4 of McVays offense and should absolutely be killing it with this head coach and all these weapons and this new oline. Yes we now have a top oline and yet you and I both know that we should not be suing the word average to describe him. But here we are. He should be crushing it man and you know it.
He is in an offense that is among the leaders in the NFL in rushing, has these kinds of receiving weapons that his peers outside of KC simply don’t have and now have an oline that is playing at a level seen in 2017 & 2018. Yet you are describing him as above average. Think about that
I see the broad picture and so do you. Just be true to yourself man

Pretty good, above average, solid. They are all reasonable descriptions for Goff.
I didn't stay great, terrific, elite, top tier, or bottom tier, below average, jag...
Anyone remember what Tannehill was being called a couple of years ago when he was first picked up by the Titans? He never had a passer rating over 95 in a season before he turned 30. Look at him now.
The point here is that l am looking at the big picture and you are looking for instant gratification. Every game for you is, "this is it, if Goff doesn't play great here then he's not really good."
Are you willing to bet the house that Goff won't step up after the bye? Not me, I just don't know.
