Your memory serves you well:
Reynolds in 2018: "According to Pro Football Focus, of his 49 targets, only 29 were catchable. He caught every single one, never dropping a pass." [
theramswire.usatoday.com]
In 2019 he was charged with 1 drop on 43 targets. [

And so far this year: no drops on 12 targets. (Note: this is thru 4 games.) [

It's that deemed catchable part early in his career reynolds was used as a jump ball goaline type but seemed to be in the wrong position or mistiming passes from goff that's why he only caught a 29 out of 49. You can blame that on Goff but for me watching every game Reynolds looked out of position or like he was expecting the ball somewhere else. He has really improved over the years especially when he filled in for Kupp when he went down with acl. I hope he can be that big redzone guy or 50/50 ball type. He has a career 53% catch rate.
Don't know how many drops he had in 2017 which was his rookie year but I know they tried to get him more jump type balls.
2017 24 tgt 11 catches
2018 53 tgt 29 catches
2019 43 tgt 21 catches
2020 21 tft 14 catches
